CAN NERLENS NOEL GET TRADED TO THE CAVS

Even though Noel isn’t eligible to be traded right now, the prospects of him being traded when he is eligible (December 15th) is highly likely. It was reported that Noel isn’t a hard worker—maybe it’s due to the environment he’s playing in, or the fact that he doesn’t fit in the Mavs system, but Carlisle, Cuban and the whole organization has pretty much had enough of him.

Making just about $4.2 million, the Cavs wouldn’t have to give up much to acquire him, but his work ethic could prove to be a risk in a locker-room competing for a championship.

Even though it’s a small sample size, Zizic’s per 36 averages are promising: 11.5 points, 11.5 rebounds and 4.9 blocks per game. It’s highly unlike that he averages those numbers, but his work ethic has been praised by David Blatt—someone who Carlisle has publicly defended and supported.

Another reason Zizic would be a good fit for the Mavs is that he would most likely be apart of the rotation—behind Salah Mejri and Maximillion Kleber—and play more minutes than he has been playing in Cleveland.

Nerlens Noel has always been apart of a losing organization the four years he’s been in the league. A change of scenery is probably the best thing for the former 6th pick; he turned down a four year $72 million contract because he believed he was talented. Maybe a winning situation will bring out the best in him—just ask JR.
