The Cavaliers finished up a successful road trip with a 115-107 win over the Charlotte Hornets.
Cleveland started off fast but were trailing by the halftime. They were able to rally back and take this one thanks to a 31 point performance from LeBron James and some timely defense. The Cleveland Cavaliers are now on a modest three-game winning streak and have won five of their last seven games.
James had another impressive road performance with 31 points, 8 assists, 6 boards, and 2 steals. Kevin Love started the game off slow, but he finished with 22 points and 10 boards. Jeff Green provided a nice spark off the bench with 13 points and 7 boards.
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist led the way for the Hornets with 22 points on 10 of 14 shooting. Kemba Walker also contributed 20 points, 7 assists, and 5 boards for Charlotte. Charlotte, who were winning at halftime, challenged the Cavs but ultimately struggled against the King like most teams do.
The Cavaliers are still a work in progress, but it is nice to see them put together a string of wins. They are still looking to put together a complete 48 point performance, but every win is a step in the right direction. Here’s what we learned from the win.
