Lesson #2: JR Smith is tied for 13th in all-time three-pointers made.

Ironically, Smith tied Dirk Nowitzki on the all-time list with 1,797 three-pointers made on his career. Smith made 4 threes from the game and finished with 17 points.

Smith has looked like himself the past few games. He appears to be shooting with the confidence that we’ve become used to seeing the last few seasons.

Lesson #3: Dennis Smith Jr. should’ve been a New York Knick.

Smith Jr. is having an impressive rookie season for Dallas. He is averaging 14.2 points per game and 4.9 assists per game. Smith Jr. fell to the Mavs at the ninth pick in the draft as the New York Knicks passed up on him selecting Frank Ntilikina with the pick before.

After the game, LeBron was asked about Smith Jr. He told reporters that the Knicks made a mistake by picking Ntilikina.

This isn’t a surprise considering the history that LeBron and Smith Jr. have together. With that said, it is odd for James to call out a team like this. I guess time will tell if the Knicks made a mistake.
