Cleveland Cavaliers: 5 players they should trade the Nets’ pick for
2. Cleveland ends the Bledsoe drama
Cavaliers receive: Eric Bledsoe
Suns receive: Cedi Osman and the Nets 2018 unprotected 1st round pick
This NBA season started off with a lot of drama for the Phoenix Suns and Eric Bledsoe. It is more than certain that Eric Bledsoe won’t be seen in a Phoenix uniform for the remainder of the season. The Suns have already said that in exchange for Bledsoe they want some young talent. What’s better than a 22-year old small forward and one of the top picks in the following NBA Draft?
Furthermore, Bledsoe will be transferred to a winning team with a lot of hope for a championship ring in the following years. Bledsoe is a very prolific scorer that averaged 21 points per game and 6 assists per game last season. He has been the best player on the Suns while they have been slowly rebuilding, but it seems that he can’t be patient anymore and waste his prime.
Eric Bledsoe can’t provide the team with a lot of playoff experience, having played in just 2 postseasons during his 7 year NBA span, while playing for the Los Angeles Clippers. What he can do, though, is cause a number of problems to the opposition while playing at either of the guard positions.
Additionally, he has a great relationship with LeBron James, as him and the King are represented by the same agent, Rich Paul. It is true that LeBron James, Derrick Rose, and Eric Bledsoe worked out together a couple of days after Rose signed for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Cavaliers would be giving away Cedi Osman, a player that looks to be a promising young player, but promising is not what the team wants right now. A player worthy of being an All-Star is what the Cleveland Cavaliers need.
