Cleveland Cavaliers: What to do with the Kyrie Irving trade exception
By Simon Hannig
2.) Lance Stephenson (IND) — $4,180,000
Would Kevin Pritchard trade within the division or within the Eastern Conference? Well, we saw this past summer he didn’t and backed out of a trade at the last second.
Stephenson worked out for the Cavs last season when the Cavaliers were looking to add another player to their roster. Stephenson was one of the playmakers LeBron James wanted. Adding a playmaker like Stephenson, and bringing him off the bench with the talented and deep bench already would be huge. He brings the grit and grind and also a lot of defensive energy that would trickle down to the whole team.
Stephenson is versatile. He can guard the one, two and three positions. We know how much of a great passer he is and he can score pretty well from the floor. He doesn’t shoot the three ball well, but he does everything else to help the team win.
For his career, Stephenson is averaging 8.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 0.7 steals per game.
