5 players LeBron James would select if he was given the No. 1 pick in the All-Star game draft
Target #3: The current MVP, Russell Westbrook
Russell Westbrook is a one-of-a-kind talent, and in the All-Star game, he might be especially fun to have on your team.

Last season Westbrook had a 41.7 usage rate which was easily the NBA’s highest. His Oklahoma City Thunder were lost without his presence on the court. Along those lines, his unmatched athleticism was also felt by his opponents as he threw down 49 dunks on the season with some of those turning into the season’s best highlights.
After averaging a triple-double, Westbrook deservingly received his MVP trophy. This season, with the additions of Paul George and Carmelo Anthony to OKC, his numbers might drop a bit, but his production and efficiency might stay the same or even go up. That said, Russell could be in line for another MVP-caliber season.
Westbrook seems to be decent friends with LeBron James. Both players obviously value loyalty, so it will be interesting to see if James uses loyalty and skill as enough to take Russ with the No. 1 overall pick. Oh, and these two won a gold medal back in 2012 together also.
To be fair, it wouldn’t take much for Westbrook to be a captain this upcoming season. He was less than 300,000 votes from Steph and has also garnered much offseason attention.
