Team #5: Minnesota Timberwolves

Would Minnesota be a good fit for Richard Jefferson’s last season?

Why not. They have a young growing team that is almost certain to find their way to the postseason. Led by Karl-Anthony Towns and Jimmy Butler, the Wolves could use Richard Jefferson’s expertise.

He could do much more than that though. Jefferson averaged 5.7 points per game last season and 10.0 points per 36 minutes. Shooting 44.6%, his efficiency is what really matters. His effective field goal percentage at 53.6 rivals even Andrew Wiggins’ percentage at 48.4. He doesn’t get the minutes, but he can still be effective. Minnesota and just about every other team could use that this coming season.

Possible trade: Richard Jefferson for two second-round picks

Jefferson will be going to a championship-caliber team, in my opinion. If not, he will get to stay on the world-renown Cavaliers and compete with another ring.
