The Cleveland Cavaliers are still in the season of trade, and with the signing of Dwyane Wade, Richard Jefferson might be the odd man out.

Dwyane Wade signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers for a one-year-$2.3 million contract earlier this offseason. Now, the Cavs are in a dilemma that might have them sending away one of their most trustworthy wings. That wing is none other than Richard Jefferson. They have filled Jefferson’s role this offseason with Cedi Osman being brought over and the signing of Jeff Green.

According to Bobby Marks, it might be smart, salary-wise, for the Cavs to ship Jefferson.

Jefferson, who is 37-years-old, might just have one season left and was rumored to even be considering retiring following this past season. His veteran presence is what would keep him relevant among other teams around the NBA. And, he has been in the Cavaliers’ system for the past two seasons so he could bring some of those secrets to a new team.

Jefferson played 79 games last season and averaged 20.9 minutes per game. He was also useful for the Cavaliers this past season in the Finals against the Warriors. He played over 12 minutes per game even among Lue’s strict Finals’ rotation. If the Cavaliers believe that Jefferson still has value, then a slew of other teams should be chasing the aging role player.

That said, here are five teams that could use Jefferson’s presence to make a crucial Finals run.
