Kyrie Irving doesn’t owe LeBron James anything and that is why he took the stand that he did when asked why he didn’t tell LeBron before he left.

Kyrie Irving said, “no” and “why would I have to?” when asked if he told LeBron before he went to the front office and put the trade request in. That question is why Kyrie wants to leave in the first place. Kyrie is 25 years old and trying to put himself in a situation where he can develop his abilities as the focal point.

He doesn’t owe it to LeBron to stay and play with him or tell him when he wants to leave. The decision is his and that’s why he wants to leave. Why does everything have to always run through LeBron before it is okay?

Irving feels that where he is at right now in his career it is time to make a bigger name for himself. He is said to have a mamba like or Kobe Bryant like persona how he does things. Bryant is a mentor to Irving and he was asked did he go and ask Bryant if it was a good decision for him to leave?

Irving said that they are strictly basketball in terms of their relationship. Irving when he was asked that question got a little ruffled before answering because it goes back to everything he said before, it was his decision nobody else’s. He is doing what is best for him after doing his research.. He does not need Kobe Bryant’s approval before he does something.

LeBron James made “The Decision” in 2010. At the end of the day he made the ultimate decision and everybody hated him for it, but he knew that at the end of the day it was his decision. James tweeted out his respect for Irving and thanked him for the three years they had together. James taking a stance other than this would be astounding because of his two other declarations to leaving teams he helped get to the top.

Kyrie Irving sensed that LeBron James might have been prepared for the decision part three and decided to pull a LeBron on LeBron. In the book, The Art of Warit tells of a story in which a rebel named Huan Hsuan was being pursued in a naval battle and he was greatly outnumbered. He had a light boat that was ready for him in case he needed to get away. Because he had this boat the fighting spirit of his soldiers was low and they ended losing. They had to burn all their baggage and they fled for two days and nights without stopping.

Kyrie Irving sensed that LeBron had a light boat in case it was time for him to leave and he made his own decision before 2018 came. When you are known to leave when it gets tough then your teammates moral will be low. Irving admitted that sometimes his energy was low when he played with the Cavs and sometimes he was wondering was this being with Cavs right for him. He said he answered the question himself meaning it was time to leave.

James already has two different instances where he decided what was best for him over everybody else. When the season starts and basketball is being played that’s when all this will be forgotten.

In my opinion, this decision was made from a life perspective. Not a basketball one. Sometimes you just got to go on your own when you feel that everything you have learned has put you in a position for something greater.
