Kevin Love, who will have a greater offensive burden placed on him, must respond to that by completing these goals this upcoming season.

The face of the Cleveland Cavaliers for the last couple seasons has been LeBron James, but every other head coach and basketball fan knew Kyrie Irving was the edge of greatness. Well, now without Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love will have to fill the void and be that second playmaker and superstar for the Cavs.

With key additions like Derrick Rose, Jeff Green, Cedi Osman, Jae Crowder, and Isaiah Thomas, the Cavaliers did what they needed to in order to succeed. It will be up to Love to step his game up if this team is going to truly embark on a journey of revenge. After dropping the Finals’ in five games, the Cavaliers need to play each game this upcoming season with that chip on their shoulder.

LeBron James and Kyrie Irving along with Kevin Love led one of the NBA’s most efficient offenses last season. They ended the season ranked third in offense rating. The team has room to grow, especially without Kyrie Irving, and with the onslaught of new players, their veteran presence and incredible chemistry will be more paramount than ever before.

This team has what it takes to reach the Finals for a fourth straight year, but if Kevin Love steps his game up this season, they could be looking as a true threat to end the Warriors’ dominance.

Here are five goals Kevin Love should aim for in order to step up his game.
