The Cleveland Cavaliers have been all over the Cleveland Indians historic win streak.

On Tuesday afternoon the Cleveland Indians set the record for most consecutive victories in American League history with 21.  With national attention surrounding the red-hot Indians, two members of the Cleveland Cavaliers took to the internet to congratulations their fellow Cleveland athletes.

Cavaliers’ superstar LeBron James and sharpshooter J.R. Smith both posted videos to the site ‘Uninterrupted’ Tuesday after the Indians historic win.

LeBron was the first to offer up a congratulatory message.  He started out by saying, “There’s no way I can let another day go by without shouting out the hometown Cleveland Indians!”

James then went on to say  “I want to come back and do another video when you all have like a 40 game win streak, no pressure, no pressure!” James then pointed out he went on a 27-game win streak of his own and understands there is a lot of pressure to win every night.

He also joked that the team name will change to the Cleveland “Windians” soon and said he is thinking about trademarking that phrase to sell some t-shirts. Once a businessman always a businessman, right?

James finished up the video by shouting out Indians superstar shortstop Fransisco Lindor and said he wants one of his jerseys ASAP and said he’ll be at the ballpark real soon.

Next to congratulate the Indians was Smith, who could hardly contain his excitement as shot his video in the back seat of a car.  He began the video emphatically, saying, “Yo! Shoutout to the Cleveland Indians, 21 in a row, y’all did that!”

Smith then mentioned seeing Lindor at an Apple store in a suburb of Cleveland the evening of the team’s 21st straight win.

Later on in the video, Smith goes on to tell his viewers, “Last year was their year, this year is our year!” Of course, Smith is referring to the Chicago Cubs winning the World Series last year.

His full video is also below.

It is a pretty safe bet that the Cavaliers will once again show up at Progressive Field this October to watch the hottest team in baseball make their run at a championship.

In addition to that, it is good to see LeBron show support for the city of Cleveland, especially after all the rumors of him leaving next summer which has been a constant news story the last few months.

This very well could be James doing nothing more than simply showing support for his hometown baseball team, but he doesn’t have to do it. He understands how much Cleveland loves sports in general and James himself is just a sports fan at heart.  Besides, who can forget James’ reaction to Rajai Davis’ home run that tied Game 7 of the World Series last year?

James wants to see another local team have success and he understands what a World Series victory would do for the loyal fans in Northeast Ohio.
