Bold Prediction #5: The Cleveland Cavaliers will be NBA Champs yet again

The potential is there for the Cavaliers. There is no good reason why they can’t figure this out. They will end up with five players in Sports Illustrated’s top 100 NBA players. All five of their players rank within the top 55. Two of the Cavs, J.R. Smith and Derrick Rose, were snubbed too.

The skill set is there. They have shooting, size, leadership, and, most of all, they have a chip on their shoulder. After they lost the 2015 NBA Finals, the Cavaliers went out in 2016 and sought revenge. LeBron James will have the same mindset. He knows he only has about five more seasons to catch the ghost in Chicago, if that many.

By adding Crowder, the Cavaliers can match the Warriors a bit better now, especially defensively. If Thomas can guard Curry with some efficiency, the Cavaliers would have a huge opportunity to dethrone the current champs. As the season progresses, we should have a good idea if this team is at that level. They need to be flawless in order to prove to their fans they can take down the Warriors.

The bottom line:

If LeBron James and company learn to excel together, they have a chance to de-throne the Golden State Warriors.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have to prove themselves all over again, but if only three of these predictions happen, we will be on track for one entertaining season in Cleveland!
