Bold Prediction #1: LeBron James will average a triple-double, win MVP

LeBron James, if he were to retire today, would leave behind quite a legacy. The 13x All-Star, 4x MVP, 3x Finals MVP, and 3x Finals’ Champion has made history in just about every way possible.

Last season, while he might have averaged a career-high in turnovers, James did a season that most thought was impossible. His season was arguably just as historical as Russell Westbrook’s triple-double average. James put up averages of 26.4 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 8.7 assists. Those numbers aren’t what makes it legendary. The 54.8% from the field is what makes it one for the record books.

That said, James has aged well. He operates in the post, finds players, and racks up numbers on top-tier efficiency in the NBA. LeBron James, who is hyped for his upcoming season, will carry a higher percentage of the offensive burden without Kyrie Irving. Without his superstar point guard, James will have to take control and could easily average a triple-double in doing so.

The bottom line:

If LeBron James averages a triple-double, he will be the 2017-2018 NBA MVP.
