Cleveland Cavaliers: 5 keys to a successful 2017-18 season
By Tony Pesta
2. Kevin Love
Kevin Love is now more important to the team than he ever has been.
Love could very likely become the second option on offense, at least until Isaiah Thomas is healthy. It is finally time that Love gets a feel for his game in Cleveland and reminds everyone how good he really is.
Love had his best year in Cleveland last season, averaging 19 points and 11 rebounds. Love had a number of great games and was a solid contributor for most of the playoffs. More importantly, Love started to look comfortable as a member of the team.
Cleveland will need to see Love take his game up another level again this season. Love will need to be more demanding on offense, and stop being just a spot up shooter. He has all the ability to score, and his rebounding and outlet passing will always be a valuable attribute.
This should be the year where we see Kevin Love start in the all-star game again. Love still has the skills needed to be a major factor for this team, it’s about time he proves his worth.
