Cleveland Cavaliers: 3 players Cedi Osman should study
Player #2: Chicago legend, Scottie Pippen
Scottie Pippen was the Robin to one of the greatest to ever play in the NBA, Michael Jordan. That said, if Cedi can develop enough in the next couple of seasons he might be able to be LeBron James’ wingman for the remaining productive seasons of his career.
Pippen’s film would offer quite a bit to Cedi. With a career 47.3% field goal percentage, Pippen was an efficient scorer even playing alongside a ball-dominating Michael Jordan. It is possible that Cedi is never the focal point of an NBA offense, so it might be worth his time to watch the tape of one of the best sidekicks in basketball history.
Cedi should also watch tape of Pippen to better understand how to play defense. Cedi, who recorded seven steals in one of the FIBA games, has a great wingspan and has a fantastic instinct when it comes to intercepting passes. Pippen was also one of the best at being a defensive nuisance. He even once led the league in steals per game. Tracking down and incepting the ball is not easy, and it’s even tougher at the quick NBA pace.
Being a two-way player is an important asset in today’s NBA, and Cedi has the ability to be one of the NBA’s premier two-way players.
