Trade: Shumpert and a second-round pick to the Clippers, Beverly to the Cavs

This could be the best trade that the Cleveland Cavaliers could make.

The Cavaliers are bound to have injury issues when it comes to the point guard position. Both Derrick Rose and Isaiah Thomas could easily have a season-ending injury at any time. Signing an injury-prone Rose and trading for an already-injured Thomas could prove to be devastating come playoff time.

That said, Beverly would love to be on a championship-caliber team and be extremely happy. His tenacity and defensive pressure along with perimeter shooting would help improve several areas for the Cavaliers. Unlike most players, Beverly grinds on defense. He could play a significant role in defending Stephen Curry. Beverly excelled next to James Harden because he could energize the defense while just camping and cutting on offense, something he could also do with LeBron.

Beverly on the Cavaliers would be a dream come true, and the Clippers could be looking towards the future also. Toss in a first-round pick instead if that’s what it takes to bring Bev to the Land.
