According to a current Cavaliers player, LeBron James and Kyrie Irving’s relationship is most certainly not beyond repair.

This Cavaliers’ offseason has been highlighted only by negative situations for the Cavs. They didn’t rehire David Griffin, Kyrie Irving wants to be traded, and their additions were underwhelming at best. With that said, most believe Kyrie Irving’s request and assumed lack of communication with the team’s leader, LeBron James, has put their relationship at risk.

Dahntay Jones, a late-season addition to the Cleveland Cavaliers, came out and said that the teammate’s relationship could easily be saved. Jones said this to SiriusXM Radio when asked.

Jones has been in the business of giving hot takes recently though. According to Bleacher Report, Jones said that 2015-2016 unanimous MVP Steph Curry was not a top 10 player in the NBA. While that is up for debate, most people would agree that Steph is a top 10 or even top 5 talent in the NBA.

Jones has only played two regular season games with the Cavaliers over the past two seasons. He has, however, played a total of 27 playoff games. Jones is a solid veteran and a good locker room presence which is why he is added on for the playoff run. Being a strong locker room presence, Jones is one of the best sources to speak out on Irving and James’ relationship.

Mending this relationship will be key for Cleveland to continue to be the beast in the East. In just about a month and a half, the Cleveland Cavaliers will start training camp. Irving, who was once expected to be traded before then, might end up having to attend the camp. Maturity will also factor in, and James, who is a notable role model in most aspects of his personal life, should be able to talk things out with Kyrie Irving.
