LeBron James future in Cleveland, while uncertain, is not for anyone other than him to decide.
A report from Chris Sheridan, former NBA reporter for ESPN, now a reporter for his own website, Sheridan Hoops, saying this will be LeBron James final season in Cleveland, citing a source, who also said “Relationship with owners beyond repair.”
After the report came out, which the tweet by Sheridan has generated 8.7K retweets, Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com came out and denied the report.
Remember, Vardon was on the LeBron James beat, covering all things LeBron before ending up being the Cavs beat writer, he is close to a lot of people in James camp, more than ay writer in the league.
For what it's worth (damn it, I'm on vacation), three sources close to LeBron said this latest tweet about him is 100 percent false

I have more: three sources paid particular attention to LeBron's relationship with ownership, and said LeBron does not view it that way
— Joe Vardon (@joevardon) August 16, 2017
And finally, one of the sources close to LeBron said there is no NBA source who could speak on his behalf in the way it was reported

Sam Amico of Amico Hoops has also come out and denied Sheridan’s report.
On AmicoHoops: No truth to report LeBron James has already decided to leave #Cavs, sources say. #NBA https://t.co/CFLd3Hbbe0

Alex Kennedy of Basketball Insiders also was another writer who recently denied Sheridan report.
LeBron camp is vehemently denying this report. "That source is totally off, especially about the relationship between LeBron and ownership."

As I was typing this story, Chris Broussard also came out and denied Sheridan’s report.
2 sources close to LeBron insist he hasn't made decision on future w/Cavs past next season & he won't make a decision before end of season.

No one knows what LeBron will be doing from less than a year from now. Not even LeBron knows what he is going to do a year from now. It’ll be interesting to see what type of a decision he makes from a year from now.
If LeBron stays, he will have the biggest contract in NBA history at 5-years, $209M.
If he leaves, it will be interesting to see where he goes. No fan should hold a grudge against LeBron if he does leave again next summer, especially after winning the title in 2016. He came back and did what he said he would do. These reports, while false, shouldn’t shock fans after the treatment that James has received.

This team, this city, this legacy is LeBron James, and any rumor should be from him or close reports only. Expect many more rumors to be coming out as the next offseason continues to near with each day.
