Kyrie Irving shook the NBA with his request for a trade, and these five teams should deeply consider trading for the 4x All-Star.

Kyrie Irving is a young superstar who could completely alter a franchise’s future. His ability to score could be used by just about every team in the NBA. At a career-high 25.2 points per game, Irving showed last season that he is more than just LeBron’s sidekick.

While many think Irving without James might fail, Irving is definitely not a product of LeBron James. Irving has become a significantly more efficient player with James, but his skills are irreplaceable and would serve as a great tool on any other roster.

The vast majority of teams in the NBA have the ability to trade for Kyrie Irving. Each team is in their own rebuild in some way, unless you are the Golden State Warriors or Houston Rockets. Therefore, Kyrie Irving will be sold to the team that bids the highest and impresses the Cavaliers the most, but who will do that? Who needs to do that?

The Cleveland Cavaliers are looking for a solid starter, a young talent, and a draft pick for Irving, which honestly is not asking too much. Whether that will actually happen is a different question though.
