What does Rose mean to the Land

First and foremost it means that the Cavaliers may have found their starting point guard now that Kyrie Irving has apparently made it known that he wants out of Cleveland.  Even if the team ends up trading Irving for another starting point guard (Eric Bledsoe) Rose will valuable as the backup point guard.

More from King James Gospel

Rose honestly would be better suited for a backup role, given everything he has gone through.  Playing 20-25 minutes per night in a reserve role would lessen the chances he suffers another injury.  The Cavaliers should even strongly consider resting Rose from time to time because we have already seen how the team treats the regular season.

Let’s be honest, the Cavaliers would not think twice to sit Rose for multiple games if that means he is healthy come playoff time.

Rose accepting a reserve role would also give the Cavaliers a playmaker coming off the bench, which they largely lacked, especially in the postseason.  While limited on offense, Rose still has the ability to get to the hoop and finish around the rim.

In addition, with the playmaking ability of LeBron, Rose will get open shots and open lanes to drive and score or drive and kick.  The upside to this signing is extremely high.

Once the signing of Rose became official, LeBron James took to Twitter to voice his opinion on the D-Rose signing.

Rose and James developed a bit of a rivalry back in 2011 when Rose won the MVP even though James had the better year.  When the Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat met in the 2011 Conference Finals, James shut down Rose and asserted his dominance for the entire series.

Now Rose gets to share the floor with James, and as we have seen plenty of times before at just how good James is at making players around him better.
