Step 2 in recruitment: Helping Hands

Paul George hasn’t even dismissed the whole idea of returning home and becoming a Laker. What he specifically said was that it as “too early.” This is another reason James may be eyeing Los Angeles. They have a 5-time winning champion working the front office in Magic Johnson. That’s more than any essentially higher power James has had to work with. With that being said, Magic has quickly whipped the team’s roster into shape.

It makes sense for the king to want to end his career in Hollywood and have his name embedded in the Staples Center. Many illustrious players have come and gone in Los Angeles, why wouldn’t James want to at least win a championship and revered in the Lakers-land like the Kobe Bryant, Jerry West, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Magic Johnson’s of the world?

In the past, when James changes teams he seems to have a couple of tag-along players. If the move to L.A. does happen, LeBron will more than likely bring some of the talent he feels necessary to Los Angeles to accommodate him. The players of choice he will be willing to bring varies.

As mentioned before, the Lakers have had an impressive off-season and have filled up most of the wholes on the roster. One of James’ favorites is J.R. Smith, who interestingly enough also has Rich Paul for an agent. Smith can be a useful shooter (and potential starter) if he does indeed decide to be a part of the Lake Show.
