Step One In Recruitment: Connections

Rumor has it that the Los Angeles Lakers are a top contender in LeBron James’ unconfirmed change of scenery plans.

The Lakers have recently signed Kentavious Caldwell-Pope to a one-year deal worth $18 million. Caldwell-Pope’s agent, Rich Paul. Yes, that Rich Paul, James’ friend and agent.

In addition, Caldwell-Pope and James also have a prior relationship of some sort. James has ca;;ed Caldwell-Pope his “lil bro” and was happy to see the young guard sign with the Lakers.

Now, with Caldwell-Pope and Paul, by extension, having regular contact with the new Los Angeles Lakers’ regime and Hall of Famer Magic Johnson in the fold as the team’s president of basketball operations, James may be more inclined to spend a little more time in L.A. with the front office.

James seemingly showed some interest in the Lakers’ new core by showing up to the Lakers Summer League exhibition game against the Philadelphia 76ers game in Las Vegas on July, 7.

According to Hoopshype’s Bryan Kalbrosky, living in Los Angeles would be perfect for his family. His wife issued a statement saying that she would like to live full-time in LA. Not to mention his kids are already enrolled in school in LA as well. Everything seems set up for James, the last piece of the puzzle is for him to commit.

LeBron in L.A. looks very promising.
