The Cleveland Cavaliers have had a disappointing offseason, but landing a trade for Carmelo Anthony could quickly change that.
Even the Cleveland Cavaliers’ renown leader, LeBron James, has been disappointed in their offseason moves. The 2018 free agent that returned just to win a title in Cleveland must be pleased or at least that should be the attitude of the front office.
In my opinion, the way to appease LeBron is to bring in Carmelo Anthony, one of LeBron’s close NBA friends. While rumors of the Cavaliers’ talks with New York have fizzled out over the past couple weeks, anything and everything remains possible in the race for the 10x All-Star.
Kevin Love has remained the constant factor that has kept the Cavaliers from completing a trade. Teams like Denver seek a player like Love, but the New York Knicks are more interested in starting the rebuilding process with their superstar Porzingis than acquiring Love.
In the end, the Cavaliers will need to ship Love to a third team that craves a Love-type player, and this is the trade that should make every party happy.
