Cleveland Cavaliers: Questions surrounding the summer of LeBron James
Three summers ago, on this very day, LeBron James rocked the NBA by choosing to return to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Four summers earlier, the NBA world went into a dizzying frenzy when LeBron James chose Miami over his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers.
With the summer of 2018 rapidly approaching, it appears that LeBron’s next team could be the Western Conferences’ banner standard, the Los Angeles Lakers. On this anniversary day, there is no better time to begin the countdown to the summer of LeBron.
Only James knows if this is his last season in Cleveland. We can freely give our opinions as to the demerits and merits of staying but chances are our opinions are as important to LeBron as a drizzle of rain is to a waterfall. When summer 2018 officially arrives, James – the best player in Cleveland Cavalier history – will again be a free agent.
Reminiscent of his previous exits from Cleveland and Miami, fans and teams refuse to entertain his departure as a possibility. There are even those among Cavs Nation (media and fans), that insists there’s no chance he leaves the Cavaliers again. Clearly, they time-travelled with ‘the Flash’ to the summer of 2018 and read the bold captioned headline, “LeBron is staying in Cleveland”.
I would appreciate a Power Ball hook-up if these time travelers would be so kind.
