The Cleveland Cavaliers kicked off their 2017 Las Vegas Summer League in fashion by destroying the Milwaukee Bucks by 29.

Headlined by Kay Felder and Edy Tavares, the Cleveland Cavaliers have an intriguing summer league roster. They took on Thon Maker and the Milwaukee Bucks and absolutely crushed them. The final score was 82-53.

Edy Tavares was the high-scorer for the Cavaliers even though he only managed to put up 12 points. His 4-for-6 from the field was helpful even though the Cavs shot just 39% from the field. In my opinion, Tavares can also be given credit for the Bucks shooting under 30% from the field.

Here is one clip of Tavares’ incredible hook shot, even though he stands at 7-foot-3 not 7-foot-2 like the caption says.

In Tavares’ only game with the Cavaliers last season, he put up six points, ten boards, and six blocks. The man is out there playing among boys. His insane wingspan and innate ability to block shots make him one of the most feared centers in Vegas.

The Cavaliers were able to smack the Bucks, and their main scorer, Key Felder, did not even dominate. He couldn’t connect from deep, missing all six of his three-point attempts. Felder, who was a force in the D-league last season (now called the G-league), will need to step up in Vegas for him to secure a permanent start on the Cavaliers roster.

The Cavaliers have several exciting players to watch, but none are more crucial than the big Edy Tavares. Tavares is unique, and he could easily make the Cavaliers roster if he can prove to be agile enough to play solid minutes.
