Carmelo Anthony’s best chance at winning it all

Carmelo’s best shot
Joining the Cleveland Cavaliers is Carmelo Anthony’s best chance at winning an NBA championship. Anthony’s career has led him to a fork in the road. He went out on a limb and decided to return to his hometown to play for the New York Knicks in 2011. In this day and age, his decision is crumbling before him. Anthony has to feel the pressure when considering how he wants to retire.
If Anthony chooses not to join the Cavs, his legacy will be remembered the likes of Bernard King, Charles Barkley and Karl Malone. All of who had an outstanding career but also have nothing to show for it.
Carmelo has earned three gold medals by playing on team USA’s Olympic Basketball team; Anthony won his hard-earned medal’s in the years of 2008, 2012, and 2016. Yet, he retired from playing on the Olympic team last year. During his time as a member of the team, he was able to become the only NBA player to win three Olympic gold medals and he also became the national team’s all-time leading scorer.
Even still, that simply cannot be satisfying for an NBA player whose ultimate goal is to win a championship.
