Pick No. 15: Donovan Mitchell

Donovan Mitchell is a sleeper. He could and most likely should be a lottery pick, but he fell just outside in this mock draft, and that is just a testament of how deep this draft this.

The sharpshooter from Louisville made 2.4 threes per game. He more than doubled his scoring from his freshman year to sophomore year, so his willingness to get better is obvious in that way.

While not an ideal size at 6-foot-2, Mitchell does weigh 210 pounds, so he can take contact well offensively and defensively. Mitchell is an explosive defender, averaging 2.1 steals per game his sophomore season. His NBA comparison is Wesley Matthews, but he has the chance to develop an off-the-dribble game, which Matthews never developed. Mitchell, if trained correctly, could be a stud in the NBA for a long time.

With three first round picks, the Blazers might look at Mitchell to complement their bench. Drafting Mitchell could give the Blazers a new long-ball threat.
