Pick No. 13: OG Anunoby

For a team like the Nuggets, reaching for OG Anunoby might be their best choice to fill out their already young roster.

With Murray and Harris leading the backcourt and Jokic and Plumlee leading the frontcourt, the Nuggets need another small forward in case Danillo Gallinari finds his way off their roster this free agency.

OG, in his time with the Hoosiers, showcased his athleticism and scoring. In his sophomore season, he averaged 11.1 points per game and shot over 55% from the field. OG has a 7-foot 2.5-inch wingspan and is a great defender. While his perimeter shooting could improve, OG proved that he can hit that shot, averaging just under one three a game.

The Nuggets firmly believe in all of their young players, and they should be able to believe in OG and his potential. While some drafts have OG falling much further, I believe Denver will be his next home.

OG reminds me of a bigger and stronger Victor Oladipo. When Victor came in the league, from Indiana, his shot was raw, but it has improved just like his playmaking has, and hopefully, OG will have the same luck.
