Pick No. 10: Zach Collins

Zach Collins is one of my favorite bigs in this draft. At Gonzaga, he was efficient (shooting 65% from the field) and productive (finishing with a net rating of 45.7). Collins was not asked to lead the team in scoring, but he did manage to do his job and do it very well.

He rebounded, created chances, and ultimately helped Gonzaga reach the national championship game. While not a prolific shooter, Collins knocked down 0.3 threes per game, which could improve as he makes the move to the NBA. Collins might also be an example of how another collegiate season would help his skill set develop more than jumping in the NBA.

The Kings, at this pick, will most likely take whoever the best player on the board is. They have Skal at the power forward, but Collins should be able to steal his minutes from Kosta Koufos and Anthony Tolliver.

Sacramento, no matter who they select, will most likely be back in the lottery, so it would be a wise move to take someone who might need some extra time to develop in the NBA. Collins would be a good fit with this Kings roster.
