With new recent rumors about a trade for Paul George, LeBron James has the chance to play with one of his fiercest foes in the eastern conference. The move that Durant has made has affected this offseason greatly.

There are rumors that Paul George will be traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers to play with LeBron James this offseason. This comes after Paul George tells the Indiana Pacers that he will not be returning to the team this after this season. It is also said that George would want to play for the Los Angeles Lakers when he is a free agent next year.

That means that for one season we would get to see Kyrie Irving, Paul George and LeBron James all on one team together to try and dethrone the Golden State Warriors once again. The Cavaliers only won one game in the Finals and by adding George it would help the team.

Adding George, however, would mean they have to get rid of Kevin Love and that would make them one superstar short again compared to the Warriors. The Warriors have Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant and Draymond Green all as effective players for them. The Cavs would only have Irving, George, and LeBron as superstars.

Being able to sign Durant in free agency made the Warriors able to keep their core players and made them create the ultimate super team. The Cavaliers do not have the cap space to be able to sign George anyway so a trade would mean that they have to get rid of Love.

Getting Paul George for Kevin Love would not be a bad thing due to the fact the type of player that George is. George and Love average the same amount of points for their career at 18 a game but George shoots the three better at 37 percent. Love shoots about 36 percent.

The difference between Love and George is the X’s and O’s on how LeBron would play with them. LeBron, when he plays with Love, has to create shots for him but playing with George he would be moving around with George and trying to catch the defense off guard.

With George, the Cavaliers are putting more pressure on the other team because of George’s ability to create his own shot and move without the basketball. Also, the Cavaliers would be more of a threat in the open floor with having LeBron and George on the wing.

George would help the team move around and be more active and put more pressure on the opposition. The bench would actually bolster because that would mean that JR Smith would be coming off the bench and in some situations you would be able to see George play the three and Smith at the two which gives firepower off the bench.

George’s defense is better than Love’s too. That means being able to guard the opposition would lead to more fastbreak chances which both LeBron and George are known for.

Adding George makes LeBron a better player and the team better as a whole. If they can get the deal done they will be better equipped for Warriors-Cavaliers part four.
