LeBron James has averaged 32.9 points per game when facing elimination in the playoffs, the highest scoring output of all time. LeBron’s mark is ahead of Michael Jordan (31.3 points), Wilt Chamberlain (31.1), and Allen Iverson (29.8).
James’ most recent elimination games came in Games 4 and 5 in the 2017 NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors, where he was spectacular. LeBron put up a 30-point triple-double in Game 4, leading Cleveland to a 137-116 win. In Game 5, LeBron led all scorers with 41 points to go along with 13 rebounds and 8 assists as the Cavaliers were eliminated.
LeBron has had many noteworthy performances in elimination games throughout his career, but his most memorable will always be Game 7 against the Warriors in the 2016 NBA Finals. James had 27 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists, including “The Block” on Andre Iguodala.
