3: Rudy Gay

Rudy Gay has to be number one on the short list.  Having just declared free agency, he is a determined veteran, who like Cauley-Stein, can actually match up against Durant in terms of physical stature.  Rudy Gay is a proven scorer and shot creator.  Sadly, he has not been able to advance past the first round of the NBA playoffs.  I don’t blame him for wanting to leave the self-described “Basketball Hell” that is the Sacramento Kings.

If he wants to win, he will have to take a massive pay cut but finally reaching the Finals may be worth it for him. Rudy Gay would be a great option if the Cavaliers can shave some cap and find a way to reel him in.

Several teams will be inquiring about Gay, but Cleveland certainly has the most to offer him outside of money. For Gay, it will all be on where his priorities fall.
