Play inside-out

Love is still one of the only traditionally skilled-post man playing on either team in this series.  He was a post-first center throughout his 1 year at UCLA after all.

Feed him the ball in the post and continue to play inside-out.  He gets too static playing on the perimeter all the time.  He’s great from those short corners, spotting up for a James kick-out pass too.  But it feels a little silly at times playing him so far from the basket.

The same goes for James.  As deadly of a triple

As deadly of a triple threat, he is getting the ball at the top of the key in isolation. Getting him the ball in the post is the lower risk option.  He can certainly inflict damage on the wing, but he was turnover-prone from their last trip to Oakland.

How often do you see James commit turnovers when he gets receives an entry pass near the paint? Not often. The result is almost always, at the least, a double team drawn and a wide-open 3 point shooter would be found.
