The Cleveland Cavaliers felt like Stephen Curry’s celebration went too far in Game 3.

After Kevin Durant hit a big shot to put the Golden State Warriors up for good in the fourth quarter, Stephen Curry decided to celebrate their victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers in a rather strange way.

As you can see, Curry appears to make a mooning-like gesture that rubbed many the wrong way. When a reporter asked Curry about his celebration after the game, Steph denied that he was truing to disrespect the Cavs, per The Score’s Chris Walden.

"“It was all spontaneous. I wish I could have a little bit more control over here. The reactions in certain situations … I really don’t know what I did last night. I saw it, but I don’t know what I was doing. I even dropped my mouthpiece because I was so uncoordinated in that sense. It is what it is.”"

Of course Curry denied having any malice behind his actions but the Cavs players didn’t take it lightly.

Amico Hoops’ Sam Amico reported Friday that many Cavaliers players were “highly agitated” over the gesture and that it, “wont be forgotten come Friday.”

This could be a blessing in disguise for the Cavs. In Game 3, the Cavs outplayed the Warriors in the first 46 minutes of the game and it slipped away from our grasp right at the end. The Cavs know that they can beat this team and Curry’s disrespectful gesture could be all that the Cavaliers to go all out for 48 minutes.

Of course, no team in NBA history has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit in a playoff series and the Cavs just need to take it one game at a time.

Still, expect the Cavaliers to come out of the gates in full force in Game 4.

The city of Cleveland has too much pride to be disrespected like that!
