Cleveland Cavaliers shooting guard J.R. Smith, like Draymond Green, has never been afraid to say exactly how they feel.

Bad blood spills out with J.R. Smith’s comments about Draymond Green.

In Game 1 of the NBA Finals, the refs allowed a good level of physicality. The players don’t seem to mind it, as long as the calls are even on both sides.

The Cleveland Cavaliers will have more success on defense if they are able to get into the bodies of Golden State Warriors wing players. You know, aggressive, air-tight defense on the perimeter and hard fouls in the paint. It’s the NBA Finals after all.

Naturally, a reporter asked Smith if the Cavs would try to “dirty up the game” to get the Warriors to make more mistakes. He decided to give an entertaining “J.R.”-like answer.

After calling out Green, Smith wasn’t done.

He proceeded to say that the Cavaliers could beat arguably the best NBA team of all-time, the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls.

"Watching basketball throughout the course of the season, you obviously know they’re very good. But one thing about us, it’s all about us. If we take care of what we’re supposed to take care of, it doesn’t matter if it’s the ’96 Bulls, it doesn’t matter. We would win. We just gotta worry about us, understand that no matter what they do, if we do what we’re supposed to do, they can’t beat us."

I don’t know about the ’96 Bulls, but if they can take care of the ball and lock-in on defense in Game 2, the Cavs will be a tough team to beat.

If the Cavaliers truly believe that if they execute they will win, than they should walk into Game 2 with a lot of confidence.

Hopefully, we’ll see Smith and Co. bounce back in Game 2 against Golden State on Sunday.
