Romeo Travis, LeBron James’ high school teammate, has the perfect apparel for the Michael Jordan debate.

Romeo Travis is probably best known as LeBron James’ teammate at St. Vincent-St. Mary’s High School where he was part of the “Fab Five” that included James, Dru Joyce III, William McGee and Sian Cotton.

Travis was a standout power forward at the University of Akron, winning the MAC Player of the Year in 2007. He’s had a lengthy and successful professional career overseas and while his production has tailed off in the past two years, he played well for the Macedonian national team in the 2016 EuroBasket qualifiers, a FIBA senior team event.

All the while, Travis has remained close to the King.

So it should come as no surprise that Travis has designed a line of “Greater than” apparel in which the symbolism is simple but stunningly effective.

“23 > 23”.

Travis, who has both tee-shirts and “dad hats”, will be releasing the apparel Monday on his personal site.

The best part of this isn’t the stance Travis appears to take in the Michael Jordan debate but the stance that Jordan’s former teammate, Scottie Pippen, appears to take while wearing a “Greater than” tee-shirt.

This isn’t the first time Pippen has taken this position, despite his recent assertion that James hasn’t surpassed Kobe Bryant and that Bryant is the closest comparable to Jordan. Back in 2013, Alonzo Mourning told the NBA world that Pippen said – in pretty colorful language – that James could beat Jordan one-on-one. In 2011, Pippen said that James could be the greatest player ever.

One could have assumed Pippen changed his mind since then until this picture. Now we have to wonder, in Pippen’s mind is it Bryant is better than James who is better than Jordan. Or that Pippen simply saying that James has to accomplish more in his career to have had the type of career that Bryant, a 19-year veteran, had while conceding that James is the better talent.

Or in another conversation altogether, does Pippen believe that Bryant and Jordan are better scorers while James is the best player and playmaker in the group?

It’s all a bit confusing with Pippen but in any case, James – who passed Jordan to be the NBA’s all-time leader in postseason points last night – now has the gear to go with the game.

If you BELIEVE the King is the greatest of all-time, these items are a must have!

I can’t wait ’til Monday.
