Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Boston Celtics Game 5: What We Learned
The Cleveland Cavaliers secured their third straight trip to the NBA Finals with a 135-102 win over the Boston Celtics.
It’s amazing to think of how far this team has come in the last seven years. In 2011 the Cavs set a record for the most consecutive losses in a season. 2013-14 brought Andrew Bynum and Anthony Bennett brought in and out Cleveland. Now in 2017, the Cavs are going to the Finals for their third straight year and are defending NBA champions.
It was a historic night at TD Garden. LeBron James passed Michael Jordan on the all-time career scoring list. This will also be the first time that the same two teams will face each other in the Finals three years in a row. And not to mention this is the seventh straight trip to the Finals for LeBron and James Jones.
