LeBron James has been selected to the All-NBA First Team for the 11th time, and he joins Karl Malone and Kobe Bryant to be the only players to achieve that.

Legendary and longevity are often times paired together. LeBron James, who has averaged 20+ points per game for all of his 14 seasons, has shown his longevity and his 11th First Team All-NBA selection is just another accolade for his legendary career.

James averaged a career-high in both points and rebounds this season, and he was the only player in NBA history to average 25 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists on over 54% from the field. Talk about impress, right.

Well, guess what? That historic season doesn’t even get him in the MVP conversation.

Those numbers didn’t even get him a unanimous First Team spot. The only player to get a unanimous spot was MVP candidate James Harden.

Here is the list of all three teams:

The King will be joining Karl “Mailman” Malone and Kobe “Black Mamba” Bryant as the only players to ever have 11 First Team All-NBA selections. Jordan, on the hand, had 10 First Team selections and 1 Second Team selection. While usually considered the best to ever play, Jordan didn’t do it with the longevity that James is doing it with.

Bleacher Report posted picture of three together early today when the All-NBA teams were released.

With James closing in on Jordan’s postseason scoring record along with surpassing 50,000 career minutes, he will end up having quite the postseason even if he doesn’t get his fourth ring — even though we certainly hope we does.
