1. LeBron James (2003)

LeBron James is by far the best first pick in Cleveland Cavaliers history. He was the first pick in a loaded 2003 draft class featuring himself, former teammates Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, and Carmelo Anthony.

The “Chosen One” has lived up to all expectations of being the savior for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

His greatest achievement in his storied 14-year NBA career was in the 2016 NBA Finals. The Cavs were down 3-1 against the record setting 73-win Golden State Warriors. The Cavs then won three straight games to secure the first championship for a Cleveland major sports team in 52 years.

LeBron won his third NBA championship, and third NBA Finals MVP award while forever stamping his place in Cleveland sports history.

James has been to six straight NBA Finals, and he is arguably the best player since the great Michael Jordan.
