I think that the Cleveland Cavaliers will win the Eastern Conference Finals against the Boston Celtics in six games. The series will be more competitive than Cleveland’s first two opponents, but Boston does not have enough wing scorers to outlast Cleveland in a seven game series.

Kevin Love averaged 23 points and 13 rebounds in the regular season against Boston, so look for him to play his best basketball of the postseason in the series. Kyrie Irving also plays well against Boston, so expect him to average about 25 points a game for the series even though he will be guarded by Avery Bradley.

Of course we know that LeBron will put up big numbers as he usually does. Cleveland’s defense has improved this postseason, so expect Boston to be forced to take a lot of deep shots late in the clock. On the nights that the Celtics three pointers are falling will be the two games in the series that they will win. Kyrie Irving and Isaiah Thomas will be the most interesting matchup for this series. In the case that Kyrie is able to outplay Thomas every night, Boston may not win a game. I think that Cleveland will take Game 1 in Boston.

In Game 2 the Celtics will rally to avoid going down 0-2 heading back to Cleveland. The Cavs will win both games at home. The Celtics will have their crowd behind them in a closeout Game 5, and Thomas will have a big fourth quarter to force a Game 6. The Cavaliers will close out Boston in Game 6 in Cleveland.
