Despite being the number one seed, the Boston Celtics are the obvious underdogs in this series. Here are five keys for the Cleveland Cavaliers to advance to the NBA Finals.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have reached the Eastern Conference Finals for a third straight postseason. They will matchup against the top seeded Boston Celtics in what should be a competitive series.

The Celtics defeated the Washington Wizards in a physical Game 7 Monday night. Isaiah Thomas led the way with 29 points and 12 assists. Kelly Olynyk had the standout performance of the night. He broke out for a playoff career high scoring 26 points on 10-14 shooting from the field.

The Celtics take care of business on their home floor. They won all four games at home in the series against Washington.

Isaiah Thomas has proved this postseason that he is one of the best point guards in the game. He has averaged 25.1 points and 6 assists a game during the playoffs. Thomas has been instrumental for his team in the fourth quarter, leaving no doubt why the final period is referred to as “IT Time.”

Despite Boston’s success, Cleveland had their way with the Celtics in the regular season. The Cavs won three out of the four games. The Celtics only win came in Boston by four points, and Kevin Love did not play.

With that covered, here are five keys to the Cavaliers success against the Celtics.
