#2: Game 2, 2009: LeBron’s Game Winner vs. Orlando

The Cavs found themselves down 1-0 to the Magic after Game 1 of the 2009 Eastern Conference Finals. The Magic, led by Dwight Howard, shocked a Cleveland team that was undefeated until that point in the playoffs.

With 1 second remaining in the 4th quarter, the Cavs were down 95-93, and in danger of falling to 0-2 in the series. LeBron James caught an inbound pass from point guard Mo Williams, and proceeded to do this:

James sank his only 3 of the game as time expired to give Cleveland the win, and tie the series at 1. The shot was especially remarkable because the Cavs had just blown a 23-point lead, losing all momentum in the process.

LeBron told Brian Windhorst, then of The Plain Dealer, that the shot was one he knew he had to take.

"“I was going to come get the ball no matter what happened. I knocked down the shot. Biggest shot I’ve made in my career.” James said. “A second is a long time for me, for other it is very short. As a kid you practice those moments.”"

While the Cavs would eventually lose this series in six games, this shot remains one of the iconic moments of the career of LeBron James.
