If the Cavaliers win the NBA title, they should be considered the greatest team in NBA history
The Cleveland Cavaliers have swept the first two rounds of the Eastern Conference playoffs after beating the Toronto Raptors 109-102 in Game 4.
When you look at how the Cavaliers have dominated the East over the years in the second LeBron James tenure you have to think they are now forming a super team.
When the season was over people were saying that the Cavs were not going to be able to repeat because of the constant losing during the season.
They said that the team was making defensive errors that would hurt them in the long run, but this team has still imposed it’s will on the opposition and has not even given up a loss yet during the playoffs.
The Pacers gave them a little sweat sometimes during the first round but during the semi-finals the Cavs completely obliterated the Raptors.
LeBron has made sure that contenders with superstars are losing their players. Other players are moving around to finally take down LeBron.
Kyle Lowry has opted out of his contract and is testing free agency. There are reports that Paul George wants to be a Los Angeles Laker and is looking to get traded there. It is already reported that the Boston Celtics want to look for a small forward in the offseason to help with scoring and they haven’t even faced the Cavaliers yet.
The LeBron effect has always been one that effects the whole NBA. When he went to Miami he broke up the same Celtics team that was the reason he went to the Miami Heat.
Tyronn Lue said that LeBron is like Michael Jordan in terms of how he’s stopping great players go to a new level.
Players like Kevin Durant, George and Carmelo Anthony all have not been able to beat LeBron and it has cost them their careers.
Cleveland Cavaliers
Durant had to make the move to Golden State to not only make sure he went to the Finals but he wanted to make sure he had enough to beat LeBron.
Every player knows that if they want to win a championship they will see LeBron sometime during the process of obtaining it.
The Cavs have assembled this team over the course of three years and it is flawless.
There is three point shooting, rebounding and a good mix of veterans and young players so there is balance.
The team last year beat a 73-win Golden State team and now they are looking unbeatable to what it seems like an inevitable meeting with Golden State again in the finals.
Coach Lue has said that if these two teams stay together and they keep meeting in the finals that they are indeed a rivalry.
The Golden State are the only team that looks like they can stand in the way of the LeBron led Cavaliers but if they beat them again this year then this will be the greatest team ever assembled.
This is because of how great the Warriors are. The Warriors won 67 games 2015, 73 in 2016 and 67 in 2017. If they lose again in 2017 then that means the Cavs have stopped one of the greatest teams ever in the league from realizing their potential because they did not become a dynasty.
That will be another team that LeBron has destroyed.
The big three has played well. James, Irving, and Kevin Love, in that order, are the top three players in scoring for the Cavaliers and if Love averaged one more point he would have 20 points for his average which means all three would average 20-or- more.
For the postseason LeBron is averaging 34.4, Kyrie 23.8 and Love 13.8. This balance has helped the Cavs maintain a flow of scoring that will put them on top of any team.
This team is not the greatest because of their play and how they win games but it is great because of how it affects other teams. Other teams seem to have no answer.

The Cavs are confident that if they have LeBron and the rest of the Big Three (Love and Kyrie) that they will be able to effect the league the way that they do.
