PG Brandon Jennings

2016-17 stats (81 games):

7.1 points, 4.9 assists, 2.4 rebounds, 0.9 steals per game

35.9 FG%, 31.3 3PT%, 75.0 FT%

What he can bring to the Cleveland Cavaliers:

Street-ball style of play, fast-paced offense, scoring outbursts, true point guard ability

Brandon Jennings, who is only 27-years-old despite the fact it seems like we’ve been talking about him forever, is basically Kyrie Irving-lite when it comes to his style of play.

Jennings loves to use his crossover dribble to set up himself and his teammates up for baskets and when it comes to his ability to facility he can definitely make “wow” passes despite his reputation as a scoring-minded point guard.

He’s not a great shooter from three-point range but it’s because he’s inconsistent, not incapable. Jennings also, as should be obvious from his field goal percentage, takes a lot of tough shots. However, he takes those types of shots because he has confidence in his scoring ability and he should.

Do you remember when he put up 55 points on Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors in the 2014-2015 season?

On defense, Jennings’ wingspan and athletic ability should allow him to be solid defender but he needs to work on his technique and awareness.
