The Cleveland Cavaliers put a beat down on the Boston Celtics last night, and there were several key takeaways from such a big regular season game.

For much of the year the Cleveland Cavaliers gave off the impression that the regular season was meaningless to them, well on Wednesday night the Cavs seemingly flipped a switch and the results were evident.  The Cavs steamrolled the Boston Celtics 114-91 and removed all doubt of who the best team in the Eastern Conference really is.

Normally we cannot take much away from a regular season game, but the Cavs thrashing of Boston on their home floor should and will have effects on not only the rest of the season but also what happens in the playoffs.

In the end, this still is not the playoffs, but this victory certainly helped swing the Cavs into playoff form. After a rough March, the Cavaliers have bounced back with a four game winning streak, and they are now a game ahead of Boston in the East.
