James Jones wants to know what the Cleveland Cavaliers want out of the season.

14-year NBA veteran James Jones asked the Cleveland Cavaliers what they really want out of this season, according to Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com.

It’s no secret the Cavs have been in a funk lately. Everyone is talking about it. This month, the Cavaliers have the worst defensive rating in the league. Yes, even the Brooklyn Nets have a better defensive rating in March.

LeBron James and Kyrie Irving did not barked at teammates, according to Vardon.

In fact, Irving has taken accountability for the Cavs recent slump. Against the San Antonio Spurs, Irving had 8 points (4-13 FG), 3 rebounds and 2 assists on a -26 on the night. (That’s for those who love the plus/minus  statistic.)

Afterwards, Irving could be seen getting up shots after the game as well as having a heart-to-heart with James.

The talk seems to have inspired Irving to put his best foot forward and focus on being a player that can win multiple championships, not just one.

According to Vardon, this is what the Cavs are saying to each other:

"The theme floating in Cleveland’s locker room right now seems to be — do you want to repeat as champions? If each player were polled individually, not one would say they didn’t want another title this season. So the rhetorical questioning from Jones and the public comments from Irving about complacency seem to suggest players’ effort haven’t matched their intentions."

The Cavaliers have the top seed in the Eastern Conference again, with the Boston Celtics losing to the Milwaukee Bucks last night thanks to Malcolm Brogdon.

It will be interesting to see what type of effort we see out of the Cavs next few games, especially with a big game coming up next Wednesday at Boston.

Tonight, the Cavaliers play a crucial game against the Chicago Bulls in what will be a nationally-televised game on TNT. The Cleveland Cavaliers will return home against the Philadelphia 76ers tomorrow night and will play another game at home against Indiana Pacers.

They’ll play against the Orlando Magic before they face the Celtics. The Magic are a team that has shown that it has a bright future with big wins over elite ball clubs all season.
