When we thought the best had already come, LeBron James, the renowned leader of the Cleveland Cavaliers, is having a career-year.

The Cleveland Cavaliers absolutely crushed the Detroit Pistons last night, and it again proved how dominate LeBron James is.

James finished the game with 16 points, 11 assists, and 12 rebounds. While not overwhelming, his Cavaliers won by 32 points which moved their lead in the Eastern Conference to 2.5 games over the Celtics. James, who averages 37.7 minutes, is familiar with the load, but he did all this in just 28 minutes tonight.

More from King James Gospel

James is averaging a career-high in both assists and rebounds while averaging the 10th most minutes of his career. His 8.9 assists per game ranks 6th in the NBA, and his 8.3 rebounds per game ranks 22nd. These incredible stats coupled with the fact that he is top ten in scoring is just fantastic.

No one expected LeBron James to be this good. If you compare his stats this year to Michael Jordan’s when he was 32, they line up favorable in James’ favor. While Jordan did average +4.3 points, James averages over double the assists. This should help James, not necessarily as a better overall player than Michael Jordan, but a better facilitator and creator within the offense.

Most players can not do what James has been able to do in their prime let alone fading out of their prime. LeBron has proven that his game can evolve even as he ages.

Even though LeBron should be given much of the credit, he is playing with some terrific three point shooters. Kyle Korver and JR Smith are two of the elite shooters in the league along with another superstar in Kyrie Irving. Players like Channing Frye and Kevin Love are also underrated when it comes to allow LeBron more space to operate.
