Quinn Cook returns as he and Kay Felder look to lead the Canton Charge to a victory against the Austin Spurs.
The Canton Charge are coming back home to play an early game this afternoon in Canton, OH. The Charge are set to face the Austin Spurs at 1:00 PM (EST) on Facebook Live. Kay Felder is still with the Charge and Quinn Cook is officially back with the Charge after his ten-day deal with the Dallas Mavericks expired.
To make room for Quinn Cook, the Charge waived forward Chris Evans due to a season ending injury, according to Josh Weir of the Canton Repository.
In their last game, the Charge played the Windy City Bulls on Wednesday and defeated the Bulls 113-99 led by Felder, who put up 35 points in addition to 5 assists, 1 steal and 1 block.
The starting lineup is still to be determined, but check back with King James Gospel for the latest. However, it is likely Cook and Felder will start in the backcourt, which they have done this season.
What to watch for:
1.) Quinn Cook —- Cook is returning to the Canton Charge after his ten-day deal expired Tuesday night. It will be interesting to see if Cook misses a beat or two after not being with the team for a while. However, this feels like a trade the Charge make, getting their dynamic scorer back, along with another dynamic scorer in Felder, who is likely to be with the Charge for the rest of the season.
2.) Continuing the streak —- The Charge, at 24-17, are the second seed in the wildcard playoff in the NBA D-League. Fort Wayne and Canton currently hold the wildcard spots. Every game from here on out for the Charge is very important for the Charge to secure a wildcard playoff spot. The Charge, led by the Rookie of the Year in Cook, went to the Eastern Conference Finals last season. The Charge are currently on a five-game winning streak.
