1. Eric Moreland

Eric Moreland is the best player the Cleveland Cavaliers can pick up because he has youth, length, athleticism, size, hunger, humility, every tool he can have in the tool shed as a two-way center,to impact the game on both ends and he’s in excellent physical shape.

Moreland is like a Smart TV or a PS4 compared to the old boxy television sets or a Playstation 2. He’s an all-in-one player who is custom-made for the New Age.

Moreland, who was a point guard in high school before he experienced a growth spurt in his junior season, has exceptional playmaking abilities on offense as a passer and a scorer off-the-dribble. In the post, Moreland has a bevy of post moves and he’s also able to shoot consistently anywhere within the arc. He has a three-point percentage of 33.3 in limited attempts.

Defensively, Moreland is exceptional when asked to defend the pick-and-roll. He effectively ices the pick-and-roll with proper positioning and he has the length and athleticism to recover and contest shots from the big or the ball-handler. Moreland, who has the length and athleticism to be a solid rim-protector exhibits a laser focus all game to make the right plays. Another underrated part of his game is his ability to get strips when players drive to the rim.

Whether he’s asked to play power forward or center, Moreland will succeed. An affiliate player for the Cavs, who plays for their exclusive NBADL affiliate (the Canton Charge), he’s probably an even better player than their current starter at center, Tristan Thompson.
