Kay Felder, John Holland shine in Canton’s win over Greensboro

The Canton Charge are in the stretch run of the season. They just ended the month of February on a high note.

The Canton Charge defeated the Greensboro Swarm 114-108, behind Kay Felder and John Holland big nights. Both Felder and Holland are players of the game. The Charge move to 21-17, while Greensboro moves to 13-26 on the season.

The Charge have found ways to keep their offense flowing in the absence of Quinn Cook who was recently called up to the Dallas Mavericks. Holland has produced the way he always has this season: explosive dunks, three’s and on the defensive end. Holland’s stat line tonight: 25 points (9/16 FG, 2/2 from three), 5 rebounds, 4 steals and three assists. He also had this awesome dunk of the night.

Kay Felder also had an excellent night who is on assignment from the world champion, Cleveland Cavaliers. He had 25 points (8/17 FG, 0/3 from three), 5 assists, 2 steals and 1 rebound. Felder does what he does best: speed, flashy finishes and passes and three’s. He also had a sweet move to the hoop as well.

The Charge led by as many as 13 in the game. They let Greensboro come back into the game a bit. The Charge in the third quarter led 79-69. Greensboro had a small run and only trailed 85-78. The Charge in the fourth quarter extended it to 92-79. However, Greensboro would creep back into the game and get as close to 97-90. They also got within as many as 6 with 2:49 renaming. However, the Charge prevail in the end and now have a winning streak. The Charge won 114-108.

Cameron Jones, who was acquired in a trade from Santa Cruz made his debut with the Charge tonight as well.

The Charge shot 50.6% from the field (40/79), 50% from three (10/20) and 66.7% from the free throw line (24/36).
